Explore More on Each Course
Learn key concepts of genetics as they relate to inheritance of disease, population-specific risk, and genetic testing – and see how increased knowledge of the human genome is applied in clinical settings.
Gain insight into the intersection between cancer and genetics, and how that knowledge is being applied to cancer diagnosis and treatment. Topics covered include cancer mutations, cancer gene functions, tumor sequencing, cancer therapeutics, active immunotherapies, and more.
Explore current genetic testing approaches and sequencing technologies, with a look at how improved testing can move health care forward. Topics covered include clinical genetic testing approaches, sequencing technologies, and emerging areas like DNA methlyation testing, long read sequencing, and more.
Cover current gene therapy and the advances happening in this field that are ultimately helping to improve the treatment of certain genetic diseases. Topics covered include ex vivo and in vivo gene therapy, CAR T cell therapy, vector design and preparation and more.
Build your understanding of nucleic acid therapeutics and the advances in this field that have the potential to treat, prevent, and even cure genetic diseases. Topics covered include endogenous information, mRNA medicines, genetic modifications, ASO steric blockers and more.
Refresh your knowledge of the basic concepts required to understand the field of genetics today, with an emphasis on explaining how variation in DNA sequence occurs, is inherited, and can lead to disease.
